To get the best rates on foreign currency requires a bit of work on your part. You won’t go to the nearest cambio and get the best rates or just ask the person at the counter to give you the best rate. You will have to take the time out to go and find a bank, cambio or other place of business that exchanges foreign currency for the best rate on the same day. The rates change daily as the currencies will fluctuate in value every day and so you have to do all the checking the same day that you plan on doing the transaction and getting the foreign currency that you need. If you do it on separate days then you will have different rates and this will confuse you and you may end up not getting the best value which you could have gotten only if you had done everything all at once. Never go along with the first rate you see. If you are going to purchase a couple hundred dollars or even thousands then a few more cents on every dollar will surely add up to something great saving you a lot of money in the end.
